Pastor Yinka Adepoju, Director-General of the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA) on Wednesday in Ibadan declared that any private or corporate entity caught selling advert stickers from other states will be apprehended and dealt with according to the law.
Adepoju gave this warning in his address at the official launching of 2018 Mobile Advert Stickers and Certificate, which took place at the press gallery of the State’s ministry of information, culture and tourism.
The OYSAA’ s boss maintained that the agency was aware that some private individuals were of habit of producing fake mobile advert stickers, and selling them to end users at ridiculous prices.
According to him, OYSAA’ mobile stickers, which were produced as part of complimentary aspects of the agency’s duty to generate revenue for the state government, are meant for private individual branded vehicles, as well as those belonging to companies and other corporate organizations.
He revealed that cars and buses will pay the sum of N3,000 per annum for the sticker and certificate, while trucks and lorries will pay N5,000.
Adepoju revealed further that sensitization on the enforcement of mobile advert stickers will commence on January 2, 2017, across the state.
