Oyo Labour Veterans, CCII Settle Makinde, Labour’s Issue

Oyo State Veterans Labour and Central Council of Ibadan indigenes late last night intervene on the ongoing tussle between the workers in the State with His Excellency,the Executive Governor of the state, Engr Seyi Makinde.

According to Cosmas Olalekan Oni, Secretary,Veterans Labour Association, the meeting took place at the private residence of the Governor, Kolapo Ishola GRA

The meeting lasted for about three hours and at the end the issues was amicably resolved.

After the meeting, Governor Makinde promised to address the entire workforce and the labour leaders this morning.

The leadership of the two labour centres,NLC and TUC were adequately represented while the Oyo Veterans Labour was led by Com. Vet Ibrahim Bolomope.

According to Com Bolomope the intervention was as a result of the mediatory roles of the Veterans Labour to work towards peaceful industrial relations in the state.
