The Oyo State government has declared Monday, February 25 and Monday, March 11 as public holidays for public and private schools in the state following the rescheduling of the general elections to February 23 and March 9.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Ibironke Fatoki, all schools will proceed on break on Friday, February 22, and resume on Tuesday February 26.
The second break will be from Friday, March 8, and resume on Tuesday, March 12.
Meanwhile, following an earlier directive by the state’s ministry of education to school heads last week, all schools in the state are expected to resume on Tuesday, February 19.
