Oyo Govt Begins re-verification of Land Owners on Segment I of the Ibadan Circular Road

The Oyo State Government is set to begin the re-verification exercise of land owners/ claimants affected by the acquisition of lands on the Segment I of the Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road,from Alago to Ajota.

The exercise is to be carried out by the Monitoring Team on the Payment of Compensation to Land Owners /Claimants affected on the axis .

The venue is at Islamic High School, Basorun, Orita Basorun, Ibadan.

According to the Monitoring Team led by CP Sunday Odukoya (rtd), the re-verification exercise will begin on Sunday, 15 December, 2024 by 10 a.m and will be concluded on 22nd December, 2024.

The Team informed land owners/claimants to come along with the following documents:
a) Local government identification certificate/residence permit for non-indigenes of the state.
b) Land purchase agreement.
c)National Identification Number (NIN)
d ) Two current passport photographs
e) Letter of power of attorney from the Ministry of Justice (for proxy purposes).

Other requirements are: bank details, survey plan of the property/farm land, photograph of the property/farm land, sworn affidavit from court/Ministry of Justice, two passport photographs of the guarantor /surety’s means of identification.

The Monitoring Team added that the exercise will be done in batches, urging claimants to go to the Ministry of Lands on Friday, 13 December, 2024 to check for the batch they fall into.
