Oyo Central Senatorial Aspirant Faozey Nurudeen Meets loyalists, Says Next Strategic Plans Imminent

One of the aspirants jostling for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Oyo Central Senatorial district seat, Engr. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen has appealed to his loyalists to be patient with him, as his next strategic plans are imminent.

Nurudeen who disclosed this while addressing his loyalists today, Tuesday 31st May 2022, said he appreciate the efforts of his committed supporters, since he announced his decision to run for the Oyo South Senatorial District, up to this moment.

He however said that even though he was cheated and rigged out of contesting under the umbrella of the APC, his loyalists should still to be patient with him and wait for his next decision, as his plans are still underway, which are to unveiled as soon as possible.

He also added that he will still contest in the general election, but needs the support of his followers to achieve this feat.

Recall that Faozey Nurudeen was said to have won the contested the Oyo Central primary election of 28th May, 2022 held at Royal Seed Event Centre for a seat at the upper chamber of the National Assembly in next year’s general elections, as he polled 300 votes, ahead of Dr Yunus Akintunde (114), Hon. Bimbo Kolade (30), Mr Oyeleru Oyedemi (43) and Senator Ayo Adeseun (0).

And in another election it was also said that a former Commissioner of Works And Transport in the administration of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Dr Yunus Akintunde, won the (APC) tickets for Oyo central polling 238 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Engr. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen, who scored 176 votes in the keenly contested election. Wakil Oyedemi had 43 votes to place third, Bimbo Kolade recorded 30 votes while Kazeem Kolawole Raji polled five votes.
