The Oyo State House of Assembly on Thursday approves the permission of the executive arm of the Oyo State Government under the leadership of Gov. Seyi Makinde to access the Oyo state House of assembly to access Seven Billion, Six hundred thousand naira (N7.6B) loan for the Akufo – Eruwa Farm settlement.

This was mentioned and approved by the Honourable Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin while reading “A letter from the executives” tabled in front of the hallow chamber.

It was gathered that the 8th Assembly under the leadership of Hon. Olagunju Ojo has approved the fund during the immediate past government.

Minority leader of the House, Hon. Asimiyu Alarape explained that this particular loan is centered to cater for a farm settlement adding that the N10Billion Loaned earlier is for Infrastructural development in the state.

Also in the house, a bill seeking for the law to amend the Local Government Law, 2001 duly sponsored by the majority Leader, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin has be passed to the house committee on local government and chieftaincy matter for proper consideration.
