Hon Jacob Adejumo, a federal lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North South and Orrire Federal Constituency had resigned from the All Progressives Congess
Adejumo, popularly known as Captain Ajao won election in 2019 under the platform of ADP and later move into APC with the late governor of Oyo state
It was gathered that he left the party because he couldn’t secure the return ticket into the house of reps
He formerly resigned in a letter addressed to his ward chairman, Aaje/Ogunbado
He will be joining Hon. Mulikat Akande Adeola who is the party’s senatorial candidate for Oyo North senatorial district.
Ajao is expected to clinch the SDP ticket to contest the 2023 general election for Ogbomoso North, South, Orire Federal Constituency.
It was gathered that he has set aside N350m to spend on the Constituency this year for grant, installation of new transformers, bridge construction, Classrooms, medical outreach among others.
The Vice-Chairman House Committee on Navy was said to have gifted Ogbomoso APC some empowerment items that includes Refrigerators, Sewing Machines, Dryers, Sanitizers, Grinding Machines and Vulcanizing Machines.
