Oyo 2019: We’ll ensure level playing ground – APC

APC lifts suspension on Akeredolu

The All Progressives Congress APC Oyo state Chapter has promised to ensure level playing ground for all members aspiring for elective position in 2019.

The Party Chairman Chief Akin Oke disclosed this when receiving the chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime Senator Abdulfatai Buhari Ph.D at the party Secretariat Oke Ado Ibadan

Oke maintained that the party is opened for every body and will allow free, fair and credible primary elections for all aspirants
‘At the party level, we have agreed that no member of the exco or state working committee should campaign or openly support any aspirants’

He said further that the party is poised for victory in 2019 as none of the opposing parties in the state have the capacity to match the APC

Oke also disclosed some aspirants including Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, Barrister Adebayo Shittu. Engineer Yunus Akintude out of over 30 people jostling for the seat have visited the party to declare their intention to vie for the gubernatorial position in 2019.

While welcoming Senator Buhari to the party secretariat, the party vice chairman Alhaji Adewole Alimi described Senator Buhari as a strong pillar of the party in Oyo state

According to him, Senator Buhari has been very supportive to the party and his programmes and activities in his constituency are impressive and commendable

Senator Buhari commended the party leadership for holding forth and ensuring the party is intact since the time of struggle for power till date

While urging them to ensure transparency and open field in the selection of candidates for the next election ,the Senator Representing Oyo North Senatorial district  urged them not to relent in their efforts in preparing the party for victory in the coming election and promised to continue to support the party
