The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Monday said his administration will rebuild  the stalls destroyed by the Governor Abiola  Ajimobi led government at the Bodija International market if elected  as the next governor of Oyo State.

Addressing mammoth crowd comprising of traders and artisans at the  Bodija International market during the PDP  gubernatorial campaign of Ibadan North Local Government, Engineer Makinde also promised that the PDP administration would assist in  installing street lights, tar all roads within market as well as  provide loan scheme for traders to improve the economy of the state.

“On the stalls destroyed, we assure you that we will rebuild it if voted into power. We will also assist the business community to install street lights in the market. As you can see, by the time we came here, its already dawn and we can’t even see ourselves clearly and at the cover of darkness its becoming easier to perpetrate crime.” he said.

Engineer Makinde added, “we will definitely help them fix the roads,  install lights and we do hope that we will enhance the credit scheme for the market men and women. Our own empowerment is not free money, so we ensure that we can give them revolving credit facility that can make them do more and also make more profit revolving within the market.”

Also during the campaign, the PDP governorship candidate met with representatives of the Nigerian Union of Tailors (NUT), Oyo state, at the tailors house, Odinjo, Ibadan, and Adeoyo, Ibadan as well as at Sabo area assuring the Hausa community of his commitment if elected governor of the state to improve infrastructural facilities in the neighbourhood.

“I am aware that there is a health centre in this community of which is yet to be completed. I promise you that if voted into power, I will ensure we complete the health centre and equip it with modern health equipments.”

Engineer Makinde was accompanied in the campaign by PDP leaders in Oyo state  including his ; deputy governor candidate, Engineer Raufu Olaniyan, Oyo state PDP Chairman,  Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha, former deputy chief whip of the Senate, Senator Hosea Ayoola Agboola, Oyo south Senatorial candidate, Dr Kola Balogun, Honourable Tayo Sarumi, Alhaja Bose Adedibu, House of Representatives candidate. Ibadan North federal constituency, Demola Omotoso, Chief Jacob Adetoro, Prince Dotun Oyelade among others
