Oyo 2019: APC Will Win in Ogbomoso – Hon. Odebunmi

Honourable Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman House of Representative Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Value has said that the ruling All Progressive Congress APC will record landslide victory with massive votes above other political parties in Ogbomoso in the forthcoming election.

 

Ogbomoso is believed to be the political stronghold of Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, former governor of Oyo state and gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party ADP in the state

Hon Odebunmi representing Suurulere/Ogo Oluwa Federal Constituency said with the current political situation in the state no party can match the popularity and strength of the All Progressive Congress in Ogbomoso and Oyo state at large

The federal lawmaker while responding to questions from journalists at a function in Ogbomosho on Sunday disclosed that APC is deeply rooted in Ogbomoso, most of us in the party are grassroot mobilizers and people knows that we cannot betray them.

He said further that “The massive turnout during the visit of the Vice President ,Yemi Osinbajo to ogbomoso recently is a confirmation that our people love APC, it shows that the level of acceptability of the party and I can assure you that APC will win that election, here in the Ogbomoso zones”

Hon Odebumi while reiterating the commitment of politicians in Ogbomoso to peaceful conduct during the election said i can assure you that there will be no violence during the election, we are committed to peaceful co existence of all and sundry in Ogbomoso, we relate as brothers and sisters and elections cannot separate us

Speaking on why he want to return to the National Assembly for the third term, Hon Odebunmi said , legislative duty is a continuous excercise and the more you are in the more you rise and the better for you people, i have learn through the ropes and to an extent i have been able to change the status quo in my constituency, returning to the assembly as a federal lawmaker will afford me the opportunity to rise and better the lots of my people”

He however urged the people of Ogbomoso to keep faith with the party and express optimism that APC government will take the country to a greater height.
