OYMASED to Sensitize LG Administrators on Core Values

The Oyo State Mobilization Agency for Socio- Economic Development, will soon begin sensitization for Local Government Administrators on the need to preserve the core values of the State.

The Director General of the Agency, Dr Morohunkola Thomas stated this while paying a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.

Dr Thomas said there is need to re-orientate the people of the State on core values and this will begin with the Local Government Administrators as they are the one closer to people at the grassroots.

He added that Oyo State which has been known for its ‘Omoluabi’ status needs to be maintained by all and sundry.

‘ There is need to identify and orientate the people on Core Values which is integrity, Honesty and Hard Work’,he said.

While seeking for the support of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, the DG noted that there is need for people at the rural areas to be abreast of information and programmes of the state government.
He further stated that the Seyi Makinde led administration is implementing a lot of programmes which the people at the rural areas are not aware of, hence, the need for the collaboration with the Local Government Administrators.

In his response, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftancy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo who spoke through the Permanent Secretary, Mr Joel Ajagbe pledged the Ministry’s support to OYMASED.
Mr Ajagbe noted that the Ministry under the leadership of Honourable Ademola Ojo will leave no stone unturned at ensuring that information reaches people at the rural areas.
