Ademola Oyepeju Ara, the ACCORD Party candidate for the Oluyole Federal Constituency, has expressed appreciation to the leadership and stakeholders of the party for entrusting him with the party’s ticket ahead of the forthcoming election.
Oyepeju, while reacting to his clearance by the party’s screening committee, also commended other aspirants who stepped down to support his ambition, describing their action as a demonstration of unity and commitment to the progress of the party.
He specifically appreciated Hon. Oyeleke Ibrahim Agbolan for the great role he played, as well as Hon. Asimiyu Lamolo, for sacrificing their ambitions in support of his candidature.
“I am overwhelmed by the support and love shown by my leaders and fellow aspirants. I promise not to betray the confidence reposed in me. Please, let us do it together,” he said.
Hon. Oyeleke Ibrahim Agbolan, one of the aspirants who stepped down for Hon. Oyepeju Ara, said the decision was borne out of the need for members of the party to remain united and strong enough to face opponents from other parties.
He added that the aspirants were confident in Oyepeju Ara’s competence and ability to win the election.
“Hon. Oyepeju Ara is competent and capable of winning the election, and I am using this medium to declare my unflinching support, as well as that of the other aspirants, for Hon. Ara. We believe God will help us win the election,” he said.
In a related development, the politician congratulated Usman Abolore-Oluwa Ajongolor on his emergence as the ACCORD consensus candidate for the Oluyole State Constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
In a statement, Oyepeju praised the leadership of the ACCORD Party in Oluyole Local Government at the ward, local government and state levels for ensuring a peaceful selection process.
He also applauded other co-aspirants for displaying what he described as genuine sportsmanship by setting aside personal interests for the collective good of Oluyole Local Government.
According to him, Ajongolor possesses the qualities needed to lead effectively and deliver victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.
Oyepeju urged the House of Assembly candidate to remain focused, law-abiding and committed to the ideals of the party.
The ACCORD chieftain further appealed to residents of Oluyole Federal Constituency to support his aspiration, promising quality representation at the National Assembly.
“I can do it better, I will do it better, and I promise to be your voice, eyes and ears at the National Assembly. Trust me with your vote,” he stated.
