Aare Ona Kakanfo Designate Otunba Gani Adams has harps on the need for consistent and continuous cultural evangelism for propagation and advancement of growth and advancement of Yoruba race
The cultural icon who is also the National Leader of Oodua Peoples Congress OPC said this while hosting Erelu Asa of Yorubaland , Duchess Funmi Rotiba in his office in Lagos on Thursday
Otunba Adams decried the domination of Christianity and Islam over the traditional religion and culture saying “ The domination of the Christian and Islamic religion is having adverse effect on our culture and tradition, those religious are also good but the fact still remain we should not neglect our own tradition ’
He reveals that “ we have not done up to 10 % of cultural evangelism that we need in Yorubaland, so every custodian of customs and tradition must brace up and work for revival and promotion of our culture so as to have a more developed and peaceful nation”
“ Prior to the advent of the foreign people into our land, we operate a well organized system, where everybody is loved and work for the same purpose in the interest of growth and development of their communities and larger society but today the trend has completely change as many people hide under the religion to perpetrate evil and harm the society”
Otunba Adams said the establishment of the Oodua Progressives Union, OPU, a socio cultural organization of Yoruba indigenes in the Diaspora, Olokun Festival Foundation and other organization, he has been able to laid a solid foundation that will help yoruba’s in the diaspora to be conscious of Yoruba culture and tradition and at the same time projects everything about Yoruba race in their domain
Erelu Asa of Yorubaland in her remark congratulated Otunba Adams on his appointment as theAare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland and pray for more wisdom to and capacity to be effective in his new position in Yorubaland

Duchess Rotiba who is also the Chief Initiator of Imperial House of Culture said the organization is ready to partner Olokun Festival Foundation and other cultural organization under the leadership of Otunba Gani Adams in promoting and defending Yoruba culture and tradition.
