The Faforiji/Omisore faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wish to state clearly that the court order, restraining the PDP National Working Committee, to re-conduct the Ward Congress, is a deliberate effort to correct bad precedence on the part of our great party.

The PDP faction in a statement by the Media Adviser to Dr Bayo Faforiji, Mr  Idowu Atolagbe. pointed out that It is the fact that the unambiguous judgement of the Supreme Court in favour of Sen. Ahmed Makarfi against Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff has cleared the air on sanctity of the fact that National Convention of PDP remains the highest organ of the Party.

We wiish to state that the order that forestalled the padded Ward Congress in Osun on Saturday is mainly to save the Party from another litigation of legal tussle.

In a clear term, the order from the court is that there should be NO CONGRESS on Saturday, so that the NWC can do the needful according to PDP’s National Convention as regards the Party Constitution.

“No controversy, this is so, that the NWC can continue from the Local to State congresses as approved by December 9 2017 Convention Resolution. Nobody is above the law as Judiciary remains the only hope of the common people.”

We categorically emphasized that the ” documented and approved, Osun State Ward Congress has been concluded, excluding only three Local Governments of Ede North, Ede South and Irewole.

The Faforiji-led faction of Osun PDP is peace-loving and has been making a lot of sacrifices for the love, peace and unity of our great Party.
