Osun Assembly Invites Contractor Over Slow pace of Work on Iwo- Osogbo Road

The Managing Director of Peculiar Ultimate Concerns Limited, Mr Olanrewaju Adeleke on Tuesday appeared before the Osun state House of Assembly to explain the slow pace I’d work on the  the ongoing Iwo-Osogbo road project.

The Assembly had summoned the Managing Director and CEO, of Peculiar Concerns Limited, Engr. Adeleke to give the House details on the progress of the ongoing reconstruction of the 91.0km Osogbo/Iwo/Ibadan Expressway.

Having been paid 30 per cent out of a total contract cost of #11.3 billion, the supposedly 18-monthly project is presently on 20 per cent completion for the past 8 months.

Engr. Olanrewaju Adeleke who briefed the reasons for the slow phase of work on the site assured the members and the Osun citizenry that the project would be completed in the next 10 months.

But not satisfied with his assurance, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun ordered that Engr. Adeleke reappears on the floor of the House on Monday 24th July 2023 for further clarification.

Engr. Adeleke is expected to appear before the House alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works
