The wife of the Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, Alhaja Fatimah Oreoluwa Lawal, is dead.
She passed away on Friday evening, May 1, 2026, at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, after a brief illness.
The death was announced by the family in a statement issued by the Media Assistant to the Osun APC Chairman, Amb. Salam Mustapha Olamilekan.
Described as a devoted Muslimah, caring mother, and supportive wife, the late Alhaja Lawal was known for her humility, compassion, and dedication to her family and community.
Her passing has been described as a significant loss to the Lawal family, the APC in Osun State, and the wider political community.
According to the statement, her burial will take place in line with Islamic rites on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 12:00 noon at the family’s country home in Olasode, Ile-Ife.
Prayers have been offered for the repose of her soul, with family members and associates asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus
