HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

In an chat with some of the riders, they lamented that unlike before the company now pays lesser fee for journey

With the introduction of auto pick it is either you embark on the journey or you are penalized after you have cancelled journey for number of times and that is why many riders off their data and do normal jobs without using Opay

Another rider , Samson said “ They are cheating  us with the billing system now, how can I carry passenger from challenge to Iwo road and they will pay me less than N300, sometimes they pay more especially when we first start, but now the price is lower , we want them to improve on the billing system

From investigation, a serious rider makes minimum of N150,000 per month while some makes less .

“ Now the modus operandi is more harder than before, the price of the phone has increased and some fines have been introduced, though it is still a good development because it will enhance effective delivery but they should work on the billing system “said  Samson

One of the Oride agent who spoke with our reporter said , the protest was needless because the company have considered its effect on both side , before fixing the price. They want to make more money at the expense of the company, that is not possible, it is a business we all want to make profit”
