Her Imperial Majesty Olori Naomi Ogunwusi, wife of Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja 111, Duchess Funmi Rotiba, Erelu Asa of Nigeria and Director General of NIEPA ,Prof. Lilian Salami were among the people honoured as role model by Hero Magazine internationational.

The prestigious Ondo state female Role model award yearly organized by the Hero Magazine Intl was held at the DE Dome International event centre , Igbatoro Rd, Akure , on the 19th of May, 2019 attracted dignitaries from within and outside Nigeria to felicitate with the awardees.
Ondo state Governor Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, was represented by his commissioner for Youth and Sports , Hon. Yusuf Saka Ogunleye While Deji of Akure was equally represented by Elemo of Akure Land .
The chairman of the occasion Prince Rotimi Ibidapo, the Aare Atunluse of Owo kingdom was also represented by Hon.Akinbiola Oluwatobi Nicolas.
Her Imperial Majesty, Olori Silekunola Naomi Ogunwusi was also decorated as the Matron of the platform to assist the Ist Lady who was decorated last Year as the Grand Matron .
The Ife queen in her remark, thanked the organizers of the programme for finding her worthy of the award while also acknowledging the need for women to rise up and be a part of decision making processes in the country.
Also ,the Director General of NIEPA ,Prof. Lilian Salami emerged as the 2019 Ondo State Woman of the Year in private sector while a veteran Medical Doctor Dr Kemi Aladesanmi emerged the Ondo State Woman of the Year in Private sector.
Prof . Salami in her remarks on behalf of all the awardees thanked the Organizers of the event for the honour done on them Reteirating it that it will spur them to do more to better the lives of the people.
Prof .Salami who stressed that there is equality in gender charged parents to ensure that in the course of bringing up their children, chores are equally decided so that the boys will later in life appreciate the advancement of women.
“As women we must ask ourselves questions. We also need to change the mindset of the society about women. It is unfortunate that up till now, when a woman tries to take a lead, somebody will ask her to sit down”, she added while challenging women to rise up and be part of the processes of developing the nation.
The publisher of the Hero Magazine , Organizer of the Awards ,Dr Akinbiola Sunday ,said ,these women were chosen because they have been seen to have excelled in their different areas of calling and by all standard they deserve to be honoured.
He also made it clear to the public that no dissenting voice was recorded among the panelist that were saddled with the responsibility of ratifying the list of these women of subtance . He therefore congratulate them for being a worthy ambassadors of their state.
The climax of the event was the award ceremony and the investiture of the Awardees as Ondo State female Role models.
