Ilaji Hotels & Sports Resort, Akanran, Ibadan, Oyo State will on Thursday, March 4 receive creme de la creme across the country, as Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwunsi Ojaja 11, Sultan of Sokoto and others will on Thursday, March 4 celebrate the 5th coronation anniversary of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Olasupo Adetunji, The Olubadan of Ibadan land.
The current Ooni of Ife remains the first occupant of the exalted position in history to celebrate Olubadan and most especially his 5th coronation anniversary.
Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwunsi Ojaja 11 has graciously invited the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji(Dr) Abubakar Sa’ad and other traditional rulers across the Federal Republic of Nigeria to anniversary dinner which has been scheduled to take place at Ilaji Hotels & Sports Resort, Ibadan on Thursday, March 4.
Not only that but also the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde and other political functionaries in the pacesetter state and beyond are set to grace the unique occasion and warmly felicitate the Olubadan of Ibadan land on his 5th coronation anniversary.
In an interaction with a resident in Ibadan, Sulaiman Akanbi described the forthcoming Olubadan’s 5th coronation anniversary as a well deserved one, stressing that Oba Saliu Akanmu Olasupo Adetunji’s installation and coronation has no doubt precipitated the growth and development of Ibadan land in all ramifications.
Akanbi said that Oba Adetunji had brought his cognate experience, wisdom and knowledge in private life, business, society and others to develop Ibadan land in the last five(5) years on the throne.
Another respondent and indigene of Ibadan land, Idowu Samson described the current Olubadan whose 5th coronation anniversary worthy of cerebrating, saying that His Imperial Majesty has orchestrated and displayed the leadership qualities which in entirety enhance the peaceful atmosphere and harmonious coexistence of all Ibadans at home and in the diaspora.
Samson added that it gladdens heart that the current Ooni of Ife has chosen to celebrate Olubadan in a unique and glamorous way which none of the previous Oonis had never done.
He said Ibadan would definitely wear beautiful colours with effect from Wednesday as Ooni and other creme de la creme in Ibadan and beyond celebrate Baba’s 5th coronation anniversary.
He prays that Ibadan will continue to be known for peace, unity and togetherness and Baba’s reign on the throne would be elongated by God’s grace.
