The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, has felicitated with one of Ile-Ife’s most distinguished sons, Prince Eludipo Elusanmi Eludoyin, on the occasion of his 77th birthday.
In a statement issued by the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Otunba Moses Olafare, the House of Oduduwa described Prince Eludoyin as a revered elder statesman, an accomplished businessman, and a quiet yet impactful philanthropist whose life has been rooted in selfless service, honor, and excellence.
Ooni Ogunwusi extolled the Ife-born business mogul, who leads Paragon Holdings, as a “titan in the business world across the globe” and a “silent force in philanthropy,” saying his life exemplifies how diligence can overcome poverty and how wealth can be deployed as a tool for upliftment.
“In the sacred traditions of Ife, we say: ‘Oba ti Ile-Ife ba pe ni Oba, Oba ni looto.’ Though not on a throne, Prince Eludoyin bears the royalty of integrity, humility, and generational relevance,” the statement read.
Comparing the celebrant to an “aged Iroko tree in the ancestral forest,” the Ooni said Prince Eludoyin’s legacy is firmly rooted and deeply respected, both in Nigeria and beyond. The monarch also invoked ancestral blessings upon him, praying for long life, good health, and continued impact.
“You are indeed a living deity (Oosa), possibly why your close friends and associates fondly call you as such,” the statement concluded.
The Ooni extended his heartfelt congratulations to Prince Eludoyin, referring to him as a true Omoluabi—a son of valor, virtue, and wisdom.
“Happy Birthday, Oosa! Igba odun, odun kan ni,” the Ooni proclaimed.
