Hon. Oladeji Oluwaseun Richard, JP, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army.
The appointment, contained in an official letter dated September 18, 2026, was issued through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Students’ Affairs and signed by the SSA, Hon. Victor Olojede.
Richard, who currently serves as Chief of Staff, Saki West Local Government, was described as bringing demonstrated leadership qualities, experience and commitment to youth and student development to the new responsibility.
In his new role, he is expected to provide strategic direction for the Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army and ensure that its activities remain consistent with its constitution, objectives and guiding principles.
He will also provide oversight, counsel and mentorship to the Executive Council and other leadership structures, while respecting the operational independence of the executive arm.
The Board of Trustees Chairman is further expected to promote transparency, discipline, accountability and responsible leadership within the student organisation.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the organisational structure of Omituntun 3.0 and enhance its capacity for student advocacy, welfare initiatives and constructive engagement among students across Oyo State.
