Olumoko Inaugurates New FTAN Exco in Oyo, Seeks Collaboration for Tourism Development

The new executives of Federation for Tourism  Associations of Nigeria FTAN Oyo state chapter waa on Thursday inaugurated in Ibadan
by Otunba Ayo Olumoko, Vice President South Western Zone of the Association

Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) is the Umbrella body that represents all the private sector in the Tourism and related industry in Nigeria.

The event which was held at Grand serene hotel Iyaganku GRA was attended by tourism practitioners, representative of government and other stakeholders in travel and tourism industry.

Olumoko in his remark charged the new executive to always ensure professionalism in the discharge of thier duties and collaborate with goverment and private organizations to give the industry a better attention

He insisted that creation of separate ministry for tourism will enhance speedy growth and development of tourism in the state and at the National level. Adding that ” Nigeria is endowed with a lot of tourism potentials but yet to give adequate attention to the sector

The new state cordinator of FTAN Erelu Funmi Rotiba in her brief remark said they will ensure that the association is effective and bring menaninful development to the tourism and affiliated industry in the state

She said further that “We are open to all related agencies and association for collaborations and initiationof ideas that will be mutually beneficial and enhance development.

Special Adviser to Gov Seyi Makinde on Tourism Development, Hon Akeem Ademola Ige who was the special guest at the event congratulated the new executive and urged them to ensure a robust relationship with the government and other professional bodies in order to boost tourism in the state.
