The move to reunite Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Saliu Adetunji,Aje Ogunguniso 1 and the 21 High Chiefs crowned as Oba in Ibadan by Ajimobi led administration in the state is yielding positive result as some of them followed Olubadan to the South West Security Summit today without their crowns
Those with Olubadan at the event held at International Conference Centre University of Ibadan includes: Otun Olubadan, High Chief Lekan Balogun, Asipa Olubadan, High Chief Eddy Oyewole, Balogun Olubadan, High Chief Owolabi Olakulehin, The Asipa Balogun, High Chief Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, the Ekarun Olubadan, High Chief Amidu Ajibade, and the Ekarun balogun, High Chief Adegbola.
It was also gathered that some of the High chiefs including Senator Rasidi Ladoja who did not come with Olubadan were not around.
None of the Olori of Oba Saliu Adetunji accompanied him to the event as well
It was also gathered that the chiefs joined Olubadan at his palace in Popo Yemoja early in the morning for the event
This last happened before their coronation in August 2017
Olubadan of Ibadan however delegated one of the high chiefs Chief Lekan Balogun to speak on his behalf and other members of traditional council
Just like they came in with Olubadan , they all left immediately the monarch left the scene before the end of the programme.
The amazing development was applauded by all and sundry including traditional rulers from other major towns and cities in Yorubaland.
The Executive governor of Oyo state, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde in his welcome address described development is a great achievement for his government.
Present at the event is the Inspector General of Police, IGP Muhammed Adamu, The Six Governors of Southwest, Engr. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State, Obafemi Hamzat representing the Governor of Lagos, Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu among other governors represented by their deputies.
Other Traditional rulers at the meeting were Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Olugbo of Ugboland, Oba Fredick Obateru, Oba of Lagos, Oba Ridwan Akinolu, and a host of others.
