He was conducted around the new palace by the President-General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole, and other notable Ibadan indigenes.

In a bid to dispel rumours about the health and fitness of the newly appointed Olubadan-designate, the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) deemed it necessary to conduct a health check on the new monarch.

Speaking to journalists, the President-General of the CCII, Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole, affirmed that “the visit to the new palace was not just a formality, but a necessary measure to ascertain the medical fitness of the new Olubadan-designate.

“Given the magnitude of the Olubadan’s role in Ibadan society and the importance of his position to the well-being of the people, it is essential that he be in good health to carry out his duties effectively,” Chief Ajewole added.

According to the CCII President-General, the visit to the palace also served as an opportunity to congratulate the new monarch on his appointment and to express the council’s support for him.
