A community leader and Sonmori Adini of Oyo Kingdom, Alhaji Babatunde Ologburo, has commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, for his leadership and unwavering commitment that culminated in the release of the pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area.
In a statement issued on Friday, Ologburo described the victims’ release as a major relief for their families and residents of Oyo State, noting that the governor’s determination throughout the period of the abduction inspired confidence that the victims would regain their freedom.
He praised Governor Makinde for working closely with security agencies and maintaining a firm stance against criminality, saying the administration demonstrated courage and responsibility in handling the crisis.
According to Ologburo, the governor’s approach underscored his commitment to protecting lives and restoring peace without taking actions that could encourage further criminal activities.
The community leader also commended the Nigerian Police, the military, Amotekun Corps, local vigilantes, and other security agencies for their professionalism and sacrifices during the rescue operation.
He congratulated the rescued pupils, teachers, and their families, prayed for their speedy recovery from the traumatic experience, and reaffirmed his support for Governor Makinde’s efforts to strengthen security and safeguard lives and property across Oyo State.
