Old Students Return to Muslim Grammar School, Osogbo For 40th Anniversary
The Old Students Association of the first Osogbo Muslim community funded secondary school will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their alma mater.
The famous MGS commenced academic session on September 1979, hence the anniversary scheduled for September 27 and 28.
In a release by Chairman, Panning Committee, Tunde Busari, old students will hold motivational talks with students on Day One, after which they will pay courtesy visit to the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun and Principal Emeritus, Alhaji Ajadi Badmus in that order.
Day Two, holding at Fountain University, Osogbo, will witness public lecture to be delivered by Professor Richard Olaniyan who incidentally delivered lecture at the passing out of the school pioneer students in 1984.
Award presentations to founding fathers, cultural performance and election of executive will also feature after the lecture.
“It is going to be a happy reunion to folks separated for a period spanning over three decades.
“And we are determined to give back to the school which laid a foundation for whom we are today,” the release stated.
