Engr. Raufu Aderemi Olaniyan has called on Christians in Oyo State to imbibe the values of Jesus Christ, stressing that the selflessness exhibited by Jesus Christ when he laid down his life for mankind is worthy of emulation.
The APC gubernatorial hopeful in Oyo state gave this advise in a statement released from his media office, to mark this year Easter celebration.
The Igboho born politician noted that Jesus Christ is an ideal example of how we should pattern our lives, he said further that Christ has shown to us what passion , perseverance, and determination can achieve if we will mirror his life style.
The former Permanent Secretary in the Oyo state civil service urged christians and the good people of Oyo state to see this season of Easter as an opportunity to show love to one another, pray for the peace and prosperity of not only Oyo State but the country in general. Noting that it is in the peace of Oyo state and Nigeria lies our collective well being.
Engr. Olaniyan who is an accomplished entrepreneur and a fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers also encourage all to be steadfast, and courageous in seeking to contribute their quota to the development of Oyo state and to enshew acts that could disrupt the unity and peace of the state.
The former General Manager Oyo State Road maintenance agency concluded his admonision by referring Christians the teachings of Apostle Paul in the book of Philippians Chapter 4 verse 8. Wherein Christians are advised to ” Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. .” He noted that that there is no better time to adhere to this advise than the season of Easter.
