The Okere of Sakiland, Oba Dr. Surv. Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, has restated the commitment of traditional rulers in Oke-Ogun to sustained unity and accelerated development in the region during a strategic engagement with the Oke-Ogun Progressive Union in Chicago, United States.
The meeting, held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, brought together the leadership of the Union and the visiting monarch to discuss key issues affecting the growth and advancement of Oke-Ogun in Oyo State, Nigeria. According to the Okere, all parties shared a common vision and were aligned on practical steps to move the region forward.
Oba Olabisi highlighted the resolve of the Council of Obas in Oke-Ogun to work collectively for the socio-economic progress of the area, stressing that unity and commitment remain the strongest drivers of meaningful development.
He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing developmental efforts in Oke-Ogun, attributing the successes recorded so far to the prevailing sense of unity among stakeholders.
The monarch also looked forward to strengthening ties with the Oke-Ogun diaspora community and fostering more engagements that would contribute to the region’s advancement.
He offered prayers for continuous peace and prosperity in Oke-Ogun, reaffirming his dedication to championing initiatives that uplift the area.
