Ojo – Bakare Inaugurates First Ekiti Cultural Bush Kitchen

Another cultural landmark was accomplished yesterday in the history of Ekiti when the state Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Professor Rasaq Ojo Bakare inaugurated the first-ever Ekiti Cultural Bush Kitchen, located at the Ekiti State Cultural Centre, besides Federal inland Revenue Service, State Secretariat Road, Ado Ekiti.


The Ekiti Cultural Bush Kitchen, an initiative of the management of Ekiti State Council for Arts and Culture under the leadership of Ambassador Wale Ojo Lanre is set to offer visitors and members of the public access to experience indigenous Ekiti cuisine and drinks in a purely eco-tourism cultural arena.


Declaring the arena opened Prof Ojo – Bakare who was visibly delighted commended the Ambassador Ojo -Lanre and the management of Ekiti State Council for Arts and Culture for always generating and implementing innovative and exciting projects which shore up the cultural profile of the state


He said that he is impressed that the Council always do its homework diligently and execute its ideas properly for the benefits of the state


Commissioner Ojo Bakare who interacted with some members of the Oodua Progressive Union, OPU, who were on a visit to Ekiti state from 87 countries called upon them to invest in Ekiti State
He said that he was happy that the Yoruba in the diaspora was in Ekiti and able to see that Governor Kayode Fayemi has created a conducive atmosphere for investment and business development via good road, security and happy people.

In his remark, DG Ekiti Arts and Culture, Ambassador Ojo- Lanre disclosed that the establishment of the first Ekiti Cultural Bush Kitchen was in line with the cultural vision of Dr Kayode Fayemi who is passionate about the resuscitation of the pristine Ekiti cultural values, arts and culture cultural.


He commended Commissioner Ojo – Rasaki for his proactive stance and always identifying with good ideas.
