The Oguntoye family has announced the funeral arrangements for Deaconess Cecilia Oguntoye, JP, née Coleman, who passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 70.
According to the family, the funeral ceremonies will be held in October 2026 in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, as relatives, friends, church members and well-wishers gather to celebrate her life and legacy.
The funeral activities will commence on Thursday, October 8, 2026, with a Service of Songs scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, opposite Bowen University Teaching Hospital (BUTH), Ogbomoso.
The final rites will continue on Friday, October 9, 2026, with her lying-in-state scheduled for 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at her residence.
A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, after which the deceased will be laid to rest immediately.
The family said a reception and entertainment of guests would take place after the interment at Cecil Place, adjacent to New Era Baptist Church along Ikoyi Road, Ogbomoso.
