Driven by the goal to bolster education sector in Ogbomoso zone, Oyo State and Nigeria in general, the Ogbomoso Academics in conjunctions with Ogbomoso Community Youth Forum (OCYF), is set to hold an Education Summit.
The summit which is scheduled to hold
on Saturday, June 24, 2023 will explore the founding of a University in the City of Ogbomoso whose proposed name is Ogbomoso University.

Some of the erudite scholars of Ogbomoso extractions that will speak at the event includes, Prof. Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu Acting Vice Chancellor Lautech, Prof Joshua Ogunwole Vice Chancellor Bowen University, Prof Mrs Alice Jekayinfa, Dr. Adeniyi Temitope Adetunji, Rev Peter Olaleye (OCYF President and Pastor @ New Estate Baptist Church, Ogbomoso). Prof Oyewumi Kayode John, Prof Timothy O. Olagbemiro ,former Vice Chancellor Bowen and Edwin Clerk Universities .
