The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Kolapo Temitope GLORIOUS, alongside residents of the area, has expressed profound appreciation for the timely intervention of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi in the rehabilitation of the Ariyo-Dagbolu road.

Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, has donated over 20 trucks of stone base material to be used as a palliative measure to improve the condition of the road, which serves as a critical link for residents and businesses in the area. This gesture underscores his continued commitment to the development of Ona Ara Local Government and his role as a philanthropic leader.

It will be recalled that Chief Sanusi was installed as the Asiwaju of Ona Ara by the Traditional Council of Ona Ara Local Government, led by Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, Balogun of Ibadanland, in recognition of his numerous contributions to the community, including infrastructure development, educational support, and youth empowerment.

The road rehabilitation project is currently being supervised by the Ona Ara Local Government through the office of the Supervisory Councillor for Works, Hon. Adekola Adeniran. Speaking to journalists at the site, Hon. Adeniran praised the progress of the work, emphasizing the importance of such collaborative efforts between private citizens and the local government.

Residents have also voiced their appreciation, noting that the road, which had become nearly impassable due to the deteriorating condition of the surface, will now see significant improvement, thanks to the intervention of the newly installed Asiwaju of Ona Ara.

Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, in his remarks, appreciate His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde’s sustainability developmental initiative by giving an individual right of supporting the government efforts to the development of the grassroot. This is done pending the commencement of the second phase of reconstruction of Olorunsogo-Dagbolu road Project by the Oyo State Government.

He commend Chief Jubril Sanusi for consistently putting the people of Ona Ara first in his efforts, calling him a true leader whose actions speak louder than words. He reiterated the local government’s commitment to ensuring that ongoing rehabilitation projects in the area are completed efficiently.

This road rehabilitation is expected to provide immediate relief to residents while more extensive plans for permanent road repairs are put in place by both the local and state governments.
