REJOINDER
Since the publication on 19th September 2018 by the National Insight on line of the reported endorsement of the APC gubernatorial primaries aspirant, Mr. Joseph Tegbe, by the Ogbomoso Ajilete Progressive Association, our group Ogbomoso Ajilete Group, Ibadan has been inundated by text messages and telephones calls by members of the public who, because of the similarity of the association’s name with our group, think it is our Group that announced the endorsement.
The purpose of this rejoinder is to state that: (1) the Ogbomoso Ajilete Group, Ibadan is a non-partisan,non political socio-cultural group of Ogbomoso indigenes;
(2) the group has not and cannot endorse a candidate for any election because our constitution does not permit it; and
(3) reassure the public, especially in Ogbomosoland, as well as its members that the Ogbomoso Ajilete Group, lbadan remains non-partisan in accordance with its constitution.
We also use this opportunity to, on behalf of the Group, wish all political aspirants well during their parties’ primaries.
Thank you
Dr Tayo Alayande
President
