Ogbomoso First Community
Initiative, (O’ First Group) will on Saturday empower over 100 indigent residents of Ogbomoso and its environ.
The socio- cultural group of professionals of Ogbomoso Indigene had last month unveiled Behavioural Action Care Centre to subdue the influence of drugs and related crimes in the ogbomoso and its environs.
Speaking on the empowerment programm, the president of the Association, Barrister Olusegun Adekunle said the event is an annual event of the group but could not hold last year because of COVID-19, the idea is to assist younger people artisans with equipments and other materials needed to start their business.
“We are giving out clipers hand dryers, generators for artisans in the saloon business, sewing and industrial machines for people in the fashion busines and others.
He added that beneficiaries were selected through churches and mosques as well as some influential people in the communities who will sign an undertaking that the beneficiaries won’t sell the working tools and other items giving to them
