In his bid to ensure that youths in his Federal Constituency are gainfully employed, the lawmaker representing Ibadan Northwest/ Southwest Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Dhikirulahi Adedeji Stanley Olajide has revealed his plan to train thousands of residents in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Digital Literacy, Computer Clouding and other digital skills.

The lawmaker who is popularly known as Odidiomo stated this on Fresh FM Ibadan on Saturday.

According to Odidiomo, this initiative was borne out of his desire to equip and empower Nigerian youths with technology skills that will enable them to become self-sufficient and reliant.* could we limit this to our constituents and beyond rather than Nigeria as a whole.

The House Committee Chairman on ICT and Cybersecurity noted that mega training programme which would kick-off on March 1st 2024 , would help in spreading technology savviness for self- dependence and job creation for his constituents.

Speaking further on the training scheme, Hon Odidiomo hinted that the two ICT Hubs he facilitated at Apata in Ibadan Southwest local government and the one in Ibadan Northwest would serve as centres for the training.

The lawmaker who spoke in English and Yoruba in order to appeal to the consciousness of the people said he has appropriated budget for the smooth take-off of the training ranging from participants welfare as well as provision of stipends among others.

He called on residents, especially the youths to visit his constituency head office at 3rd Floor, Wuraola Building, Adeoyo Bus Stop, Ring Road, Ibadan, to pick up their registration forms ahead of March 1st when the training would kick-off.

Participants are to be trained in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Digital Literacy, Computer Clouding and other related skills.

Over hundred thousand participants would be trained on a monthly basis.
