Hon. Olusegun Dokun Odebunmi has urged leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogbomoso to put aside their differences and embrace unity in the interest of the party’s success and the development of Ogbomosoland.
Speaking at the Ogbomoso APC Zonal Stakeholders’ Meeting on Wednesday, the House of Reps Candidate for Surulere/ Ogo Oluwa federal constituency stressed that genuine reconciliation and cooperation must begin at the grassroots, describing the grassroots as the foundation of the party’s strength.
He called on party faithful to intensify efforts toward promoting good governance across their communities, noting that the collective success of the APC should take precedence over individual political ambitions.
According to him, the focus of party members should not be on who eventually emerges as the party’s candidate but on ensuring victory for the APC at all levels of the forthcoming elections.
Odebunmi further reminded stakeholders that governance is a shared responsibility, saying every committed member has a role to play in building a stronger and more prosperous society.
He expressed confidence that by working together in harmony and believing in one another, every loyal party member would have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to governance and enjoy its dividends.
The former lawmaker also described the forthcoming election as critical to the future of Ogbomosoland, urging leaders to remain united and committed to the party’s ideals.
He noted that a united APC would not only secure electoral victory but also strengthen Ogbomoso’s voice at higher levels of government and create more opportunities for qualified indigenes to occupy strategic positions in governance.
Odebunmi concluded by expressing optimism that with unity, unwavering commitment, and grassroots mobilization, the APC would emerge victorious and deliver sustainable development to the people of Ogbomosoland.
