The newly installed Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Oyebola Adeyeri III, has completed the traditional rites in Ipebi.
Daily Insider reports that Oba Oyebola completed the rites on Thursday, October 5, and left Ile Oloye where he observed the necessary tradition for the palace where he was received amidst pomp and pageantry.
Traditional chiefs, friends and residents of the community as well as guest pay homage and pledge their loyalty.
Some of the chief at the palace includes Bashorun of Iseyinland, High Chief Raheem Adelodun, Ikolaba of Iseyin land High Chief Ismail Tikalosoro and others ,
Also Representatives of the Christin Association of Nigeria (CAN), Iseyin chapter, associations and notable sons and daughter of the town were also around go pay homage to the monarch
Oba Oyebola ascended the throne of his forefathers in September after he was announced as the kingmakers’ favourites.
He contested the throne with other eleven candidates but emerged after ten kingmakers voted him unanimously and sent his name to the Oyo state government.
On Monday, September 25, he toured some major communities in Iseyin as he was unveiled and given a first royal welcome as the new monarch of Iseyinland.
In his first public appearance, Oba Oyebola Adeyeri III thanked the people of Iseyin for showing love to the royal stool and the town.
Oyebola, who reflected on the past, said he did not know he was destined for the throne as his predecessor, Oba Osunolale Adeyeri II, who he welcomed to the palace in 1978 when he was a young man
