The newly installed Soun of Ogbomoso Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye has proceeded into seclusion as part of the rites for his ascension to the throne.
Some of the required tradional rites have been performed before he was formally installed by the kingmakers led by Chief Otolorin the Aare Ago of Ogbomoso.
After performing all rites including prayers by Arc Bishop, Chief Imam & Araba Oluawo
A credible source from the palace confirmed to this newspaper that few hours after the installation Oba Ghandi moved into a secluded place where he would be for seven days.
During his stay at the place ,the monarch will be tutoured and exposed to palace ethics and protocols as well as everything about the throne and the tasks ahead.
After Seven days in seclusion, Oba Ghandi Olaoye is expected to perform another rites called ‘Ikije’ after which he would be accessible to the public and await official coronation and presentation of staff of office from the government.
