The BCOS Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has commended the Oyo state governor,Engineer Seyi Makinde for the confirmation of appointment of Mr Peter Àjàyí as the general Manager of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State.
In a statement issued on behalf of the executives and members of the union by the Chapel Chairperson,Dupe Fehintola,the union described the appointment as well deserved in view of the antecedents and unblemished record of service of the General Manager.
BCOS NUJ says the confirmation of the appointment,coming barely few days to his mandatory retirement from the public service of Oyo state is an icing on the cake for a man who has done his best to uplift the state broadcast outfit in various capacities as a commercial officer,BCOS Lagos Office representative and Director of commercial services.
According to the union,through Mr Peter Ajayi’s ingenuity and creativity,the newly appointed General Manager has assisted BCOS to shore up its revenue base and established a culture of excellence in management.
The BCOS NUJ therefore wishes Mr Àjàyí well as he continues to steer the ship and prepares to bow out after a robust and impressive career .
