NSCDC Arrest Officer With 280kg of Cannabis and Diazepam Tablets in Kebbi

An officer of  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)  was on Saturday arrested  with 280Kg of Cannabis Sativa and Diazepam tablets.

The suspect, an Assistant Superintendent Cadre (ASC) II, with the NSCDC Sokoto Command, was arrested around 8.30pm in kebbi state when conveying the exhibits in a Peugeot 406 saloon car with registration number Lagos KSF 60 BE.

He claimed the wife of an Army Major serving in Sokoto state, chartered his car to convey the substance for a N100,000 fee

The illegal substances were hidden in 12 sacks. The Cannabis Sativa were concealed in two sacks and weighed 140Kg while the Diazepam tablets were hidden inside ten sacks and weighed 140kg too
