Following the attack on the railway plying Abuja – Kaduna route on monday, the Nigeria Railway Corporation NRC has announce suspend operations on the route
NRC on its tweeter page @officialnrc said the suspension is temporary
The one paragraph statement reads
“Dear passengers, due to unforeseen circumstances, Train operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route has been temporarily suspended. Further Communication would be given in due course.”
Recall that bandits attacked the train around Dutse axis in Kaduna, just a few kilometres to the Rigasa Train Station in Igabi Local Government Area of the state.
The train departed Abuja at 6pm, and was expected to arrive at Kaduna 8pm.
