Honourable Saheed Fijabi, Chairman National Assembly Committee on Telecoms has disclosed that he has no issue with Communications Ministers Barrister Adebayo shittu, but only doing his job assigned to him by the National Assembly

It would be recalled that both the minister and the lawmaker have been throwing banters at each other for sometimes now

Shittu’s Ministry budget was rejected few weeks ago by the Saheed  Akinade-Fijabi committee and others base on what they termed as ill prepared. The development which makes political observers to concludes that both are locking horns.

During the budget defense in January, Fijabi led committee  turned down the 2018 budget defense and asked the Minister, Adebayo Shittu, to clean up the documents and return at a later date.

But Fijabi who Is representing  Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency  while fielding questions from Journalists at an event in Ogbomoso said “ I am not fighting shittu, I a am only doing my job, if I didn’t  do my job well won’t you journalists  blame me, I was assigned a duty by the Assembly and I have do it well, so no political issues between us “

When confronted with an insinuation that he is planning to succeed Ajimobi as  the next governor of Oyo state, Fijabi said “  though I am still consulting but in age, political experience, academic qualification  and other requirements I am qualified”

“ It is too early to  declaring ambition now, people have been coming to  say they want to contest for one position or other and more people will still come out but the most important thing for us in APC   now is putting our house in order and work as a united party, fulfill  the electoral promises  we made for Nigerians in 2015 and win subsequent elections
