A Senator representing Oyo North in the Senate, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai has assured Nigerians particularly people of Oyo State of better livings that will make the independence of the country, event worthy of celebration.
This was contained in an Independence day celebration messages to people of Oyo North made available to journalists today.
The lawmaker said despite the challenges facing the country, it will take a visionary leader and people representatives at all levels of governments serious sacrifices to make life better through adequate security and economic advancements.
He pledged to further redefine his representations as a Senator representing people of Oyo North and Oyo State in the National Assembly by being more aggressive in bringing worthy dividends of democracy to the State.
Senator Buhari who highlighted his achievements in the area of education, provision of basic amenities, empowerments, assistance to youths and women, adequate care of the aged and widows, scholarship and bursary awards to brilliants but less priviledged people not only in Oyo North but Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole reiterated that he is not going relent in his selfless services to Nigerians.
The legislator however charged people of Oyo State to use the occasion of independence day celebration to pray for themselves, the leaders and the country especially against deadly social vices such as banditry, terrorism, killings, armed robbery and kidnapping.
He admonished them to show interest in what leaders are doing and map out ways of correcting and guiding them through constructive criticism in time of need so that the State and Nigeria as a Nation can be societies we can all be proud of.
Senator Buhari ascertained that the interest of people of Oyo State will continue to lead his priorities while he disclosed that his calling into politics was borne out of love to make sure that his people live peacefully and better.
