NANTA VP Wants Makinde To Overhaul Culture, Tourism Sector in Oyo State

National Vice President National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies  (NANTA WESTERN ZONE) Dr Tokunbo Dagunduro  has harps on the need for  Oyo state governor Engineer Seyi Makinde to embark on total overhauling of culture and tourism  sector  in the state

Dagunduro who make this call in a press statement said the need to restructure the tourism board under the ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism is now”

He said creation of  a  separate ministry  for  the sector make  the sector more effective  in creation of jobs and generation of revenue

According to him this will help the sector to strife and create job opportunities, open up the economy of the state, develop our society and improve education and promotes our culture to mention a few.

Dagunduro who is the ,Chief Executive Officer Rhapsody Travels & Tours Ltd  said further that “Oyo State is of a truth a pace setting state in the country and Africa at large with its vast, rich and endowed tourism potentials and destinations. It’s time we totally shift our focus away from Crude oil and begin to tap the vast inexhaustible tourism endowments we have particularly in Oyo State”

“I believe His Excellency will engage the stakeholders to ensure tourism become one of the major sources of revenue for the state and likewise the state will in no time become the tourism hub of Nigeria if channeled properly.”
