The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Oyo State chapter has expressed happiness over the appointment of 27-year old Seun Fakorede as commissioner for youth and sports in the state.

This is just as they thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for the feat, adding that they would continue to be grateful to him and his administration.

NANS OYO CELEBRATES HON. SEUN FAKOREDE ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS HON. COMMISSIONER FOR YOUTHS AND SPORTS, THANK GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE FOR THE WORTHY APPOINTMENT

Youths across the country have over the years campaigned vehemently for the inclusion of younger persons in political offices. When the world thought it was over with the election of a 25 years old lawmaker, Gov. Seyi Makinde shocked the status quo with the nomination of a 27 years old Civil Engineer to head the ministry of Youths and Sports in the Pace Setter state.

NANS, Oyo State considers this appointment a round peg in a round hole going by the proven leadership strength, sound knowledge of sport and youthful vigour, we therefore congratulate Hon. As the world awaits the result of this bold appointment by Governor Seyi Makinde, it is our believe that Hon. Seun Fakorede will show the world that youths are the solution to the leadership problems of the world through focused leadership and laudable achievements.
