Mogaji Ademola Oladosu, popularly ( Mogaji Olasomi) , has commended Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, for strengthening government institutions to promote a stable society, justice and sustainable development.
Oladosu gave the commendation while speaking with journalists after the commissioning of the headquarters of the Oyo State Rule of Law Enforcement Authority (OYRLEA).
He described the establishment and empowerment of institutions such as OYRLEA as important steps towards strengthening the rule of law, improving governance and ensuring a more orderly society.
The Ibadan compound head also expressed support for Makinde’s presidential ambition, describing the governor’s nationwide consultations and engagements with people across different states as evidence of his commitment to participatory leadership.
According to him, a leader seeking a higher political office must be willing to interact with the people, understand their concerns and demonstrate readiness to serve beyond political and geographical boundaries.
“A person who wants to lead must interface with the people. Seyi Makinde’s town hall meetings across the zones of the country and his decision to take his campaign to different states show his level of commitment to the people,” Oladosu said.
He contrasted Makinde’s approach with that of President Bola Tinubu, arguing that Nigerians deserve leaders who are willing to engage directly with citizens and listen to their concerns.
Oladosu further urged voters to support all candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the forthcoming elections, expressing confidence in the party’s ability to offer people-oriented leadership.
He called on residents of Oyo State and Nigerians at large to participate actively in the electoral process and support candidates they believe would prioritise institutional development, accountability and the welfare of the people.
The commissioning of the OYRLEA headquarters represents an effort by the Oyo State Government to strengthen the institutional framework for the enforcement of the rule of law and support effective governance.
