Joe Jackson, father of the late pop singer Micheal Jackson died at the age of 89
Joe had been in hospital with cancer, according to TMZ, who reported his death on Wednesday, citing a family source.
He died at 3.30am, in Los Angeles.
Members of his family, including his grandson, have since confirmed his death.

After his death, Rev Jesse Jackson paid tribute, tweeting: “Joe Jackson, brother beloved, patriarch & creator of one of the most talented American musical dynasties. We will remember him as long as his family’s music plays. Offering prayers and condolences to the Jackson family.”
