Manchester United are on the verge of signing and announcing the arrival of Alex Telles from Porto.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the veteran Italian Journalist, it’s believed that Manchester United have reached a deal in agreement to sign Alex Telles for a fee believed to be £15.4million for 4 years and one year option with the Porto left-back, with the contract running till June 2025.
The Porto player is expected ahead of a medical, which is scheduled for Monday morning. United reached conclusion with Porto on Sunday afternoon, after agreeing a deal for the 27-year-old were fading after they had a £15.4m offer – an initial £13.6m with £1.8m in add-ons – rejected by the Portuguese champions, who were holding out for £22.5m.
The arrival of the new left back is expected to bring a stiff competition to other existing players in the position, in categories of Luke Shaw, who has struggled with injuries since arriving at Old Trafford in 2014, and Brandon Williams, who only broke into the first team last season.
It has been a provoking summer transfer for United, as they have only signed Donny Van de beek as a major transfer signing, failing in the many attempt to sign their top transfer favourite, Jordan Sancho from Dortmund.
