The Chief Press Secretary to Oyo State Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, has embarked on a familiarization visit to Ilogbo ward 7, in Ogbomoso South Local Government, to interact with the grassroots and regularise party registration.

The tour was also part of the measures to have a clear understanding of situation in the ward, and to also afford the people the opportunity to hear directly from the government.

While speaking with the people of the ward, Adisa, who stated that politics is all about doing the will of the masses, assured that the people of the state will enjoy more dividends of democracy in the coming year 2022.

He added that a responsible government must do what pleases the masses by providing infrastructural facilities, saying that such is what Governor Makinde’s administration stands for in Oyo State.

In His words: “I want to let you know that politics is all about doing the will of the masses and that is what the administration of Governor Makinde stands for in the state. No doubt, this administration will continue to make the people enjoy the dividends of democracy.

“Any responsible government must do what pleases the masses and that is why this administration is working assiduously to provide infrastructural facilities that would make our people live comfortably. As much as I know, His approach to governance is a product of his unalloyed commitment to serve the people of the state.

“So, today, I want to sincerely assure you that this administration, in the process of expanding our economy, would leave no stone unturned to ensure citizens benefit immensely, with a view to attaining economic prosperity.

“Also, I want you to look forward to enjoying the New Year because this administration will achieve more things in 2022.

“Despite myriad of challenges we were faced with in this year, we are still able to record successes in different sectors as planned. So, I make bold to tell you to expect more. Be positive and cooperative for the new year will be good for all of us.”

Similarly, the Governor’s aide equally assured that efforts by the state government to upgrade the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH, to a conventional University, will soon be successful, adding that such a development will bring about huge opportunities for Ogbomoso town and the state.

“LAUTECH is currently a University of Technology. Now, the state government is currently making moves to make it a conventional university, which means that we are going to add three or four faculties – Arts, Education, Social Sciences and Law. And you can imagine the huge numbers in terms of student population, even lecturers and expansion of scope. So, this is huge when you talk about the advantages a conventional university can bring into the system.

“We thank God that LAUTECH has been able to establish and make a good name for itself as a University of Technology and we believe that by the time it is expanded to become a conventional university, it will sustain the good name,” Adisa explained.
