Hon Akeem Ademola Ige, Special Adviser on Arts Culture and Tourism to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has assured stakeholders in the industry of improved committement that will enhance development of the sector

Ige a former member of Oyo state House of Assembly said unlike the previous administration, the present government is poised to transform the sector for economic development and job creation.

Hon Ige in a chat with National Insight said, Governor Makinde understands the import of tourism and promised that the sector will not suffer neglect under his administration

“Part of his agenda is to diversified into other sector that can generate income and jobs for our teeming youths and he said Agriculture and creative industy tourism were his target”

He maintained, his office will synergize with stakeholders in the sector to enhance rapid development and economic benefit

Very soon we will embark on assessment tour of all the tourism sites in the state to see what we can to do to improved on and bring in private investor for immediate rapid development.

The Baameto of Aare Ona Kakanfo however appealed to the stakeholders in the sector to corporate with the government in creating an enabling environment for their businesses to thrive.
